Onsite/Field Quality Control Inspector/Representative

Job Responsibilities and Expectations 

Quality Control Inspector who has the knowledge, training, experience, and skills to successfully  comprehend and implement assigned quality roles and responsibilities in construction projects. 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Inspection for and identification of Suspect/Counterfeit Items
  • Receipt inspection of materials  
  • Transfer of Custody and Storage Process
  • Inventory Check-out, Control, and Check-in of materials 
  • Witness, documentation and recording of field installation of materials, fire penetration seals,  Det-Tronics terminations, Commercial Grade Dedication items, torques, megger testing, ground  resistance, and bonding
  • Proper handling, adjusting and storage of M&TE
  • Identifying quality deficiencies, initiating nonconformances, enforcing quality requirements 
  • Implementing and documenting the results of oversight, surveillances, audits, inspections, and tests. 

Computing Skills 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Xcel and Word is required 
  • Adobe Acrobat file manipulation is a plus 

Requirements 

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Minimum age of 18 
  • This is a salaried position  
  • Minimal overtime will be required 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and currently have and maintain a good driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED

Project Manager/Estimator

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

Project Manager/Estimator who is proficient in reading construction prints and specifications, as well as developing an accurate estimate/takeoff for electrical and low voltage systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Can assemble material submittals
  • Evaluate and estimate change orders
  • Write Request’s For Information
  • Put together project closeout documents
  • Good grammar and writing skills
  • Able to visit construction sites
  • Attend prebid, progress, and owners meetings
  • Visit project sites and estimate project progress and inspect for adherence to construction documents
  • Determine monthly job billing requirements
  • Good people skills are required to work with the customers, subcontractors, material suppliers, and correspond with field personnel

Computing Skills

  • Experience with ConEst estimating software is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Xcel and Word is required.
  • Scheduling skills and knowledge of Primavera scheduling software is a plus
  • Adobe Acrobat file manipulation is a plus

Requirements

  • Must have a valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record
  • Able to pass initial and random drug testing
  • Minimum age of 21
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience

Electrical Field Services Test Technician

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

Field Service Technicians inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage electrical systems.

  • Instrument transformer tests
  • Infrared Scanning
  • Ground Systems – Fall of Potential tests
  • Transformer testing – Power Factor, TTR, Winding Resistance, oil sampling, etc.
  • Cable testing – Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot
  • Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting
  • Low, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing
  • Test both electro-mechanical and solid state relays

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for consideration, you must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prefer an Associate’s degree from an accredited 2 year technical college in Electrical Power or similar experience and training
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Prefer experience with most of the following or similar:
  • Prefer NETA or NICET Certification (I, II or III) or equivalent skills/experience to obtain certification
  • Must have general PC skills, experience with Power DB a plus
  • Must be able to understand, work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays and nights
